The AMColians Qirat and Naat Society (AQNS) of Army Medical College, Rawalpindi carries forward the legacy of spiritual devotion and moral expression that has long been part of the college’s identity. AQNS stands at the heart of AM College’s spiritual life, nurturing reverence for the Holy Quran and love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Through its recitation forums and competitions, the society continues to harmonize spiritual refinement with the academic excellence that defines AM College.
AQNS also plays a defining role in the Principal’s Challenge Shield and Surgeon General’s Championship , where excellence in Qirat and Naat contributes valuable points to company standings — symbolizing the harmony between spirituality and competition.

5. Major Events and Activities
Annual Inter Company Qirat and Naat Competition
- Qirat: Pre-selected Quranic verses emphasizing Tajweed, clarity and tonal precision.
- Naat: Urdu recitations from authentic poets, reflecting devotion and purity.
- Judgment: Renowned national level Qaris and Naat Khwans are invited as judges to ensure impartial and professional evaluation.
- Significance: The event contributes valuable points toward the College Championship, celebrating both individual mastery & company’s excellence.
AQNS Reflection Sessions
Regular practice and motivational gatherings led by the OIC and faculty mentors—help students refine pronunciation, perfect Tajweed and gain stage confidence. These sessions sustain a reflective and uplifting environment throughout the academic year.
Events Held Outside AM College
Representation of AM College in national and intercollegiate Qirat and Naat competitions across Pakistan. AMColians have earned distinction at national-level Qirat and Naat competitions, bringing honor to AM COLLEGE through their soulful performances.
